Sequencing
Putting steps in order, like giving directions to a robot that only does exactly what it is told.
Wren School’s online coding classes for grades K–2 are live, 50-minute lessons that meet twice a week in groups of 2, 4 or 8. Young children learn sequencing, patterns and logic through games and block-based coding, with a background-checked tutor in the US or Canada. Plans start at $399 a month, and the first class is free.

The main topics we teach in this band. Each group works at its own level, so the exact order depends on where the children are.
Putting steps in order, like giving directions to a robot that only does exactly what it is told.
Spotting repeats and using a loop instead of writing the same step again and again.
If-this-then-that puzzles that build the thinking behind conditionals.
Dragging and snapping blocks to make characters move, talk and react.
Finding the step that went wrong and fixing it, without getting upset.
Your child has two live 50-minute classes a week with the same small group. Classes mix unplugged activities (moving around the room, ordering picture cards) with short bursts of block coding on screen. Each child shares what they made, and the group helps find bugs together.
Children are grouped by grade and current level, not just age. The free trial class shows us where your child is, and if a group turns out to be too easy or too hard, we move them.
Same tutor quality and the same topics in every size. Smaller groups give each child more individual time.
Near one-on-one attention with a study partner. Best for closing gaps or moving fast.

Yes, in the sense that matters at this age: giving precise step-by-step instructions, spotting patterns and fixing mistakes. They do it through games and block coding, not typed code.
No. Block coding for young children is mostly icons and pictures, and tutors read anything aloud.
A laptop or desktop with a mouse is easiest. A tablet works for younger children. Both need a camera and microphone.
