How we teach English

Everyone reads aloud

In a group of 2 to 8, every child reads, answers and discusses in every class.

Talk before writing

Children say their ideas out loud and get feedback before they write them down.

Feedback in the moment

Tutors comment on writing during class, so children revise while the idea is fresh.

Choose a group size

Every class is live and small. Pick how much individual time your child needs.

Group of 2

Near one-on-one attention with a study partner. Best for closing gaps or moving fast.

From $949 / month · about $119 a class

CAD $1,299 / month

Group of 4

Plenty of individual time plus real discussion. Our most balanced option.

From $649 / month · about $81 a class

CAD $899 / month

Group of 8

Small, never crowded. Every child still speaks up, with more ideas in the room.

From $399 / month · about $50 a class

CAD $549 / month

Prices are per child per month for 8 live 50-minute classes (two a week). See full pricing.

Questions about online English classes

What do your online English classes cover?

Phonics and early reading in K–2, comprehension and paragraph writing in 3–5, essays and literary analysis in 6–8, and analytical writing, close reading and research in 9–12.

Are these classes for English language learners?

Our English classes are reading and writing classes for children who already speak English. Children learning English as an additional language may join if they can follow a class taught in English; the trial helps us check.

Is a group class good for a struggling reader?

A small group can work well because each child reads aloud often and gets immediate feedback. A group of 2 gives the most individual time. If you suspect a learning difference such as dyslexia, talk to your child’s school or doctor about an assessment as well.

How much do online English classes cost?

From $399 per child per month for a group of 8, $649 for a group of 4 and $949 for a group of 2, each with 8 live 50-minute classes a month (CAD $549, $899 and $1,299). The first class is free.

Who teaches the classes?

Tutors who live in the US or Canada and pass a background check before they teach. Every class is live; nothing is pre-recorded.
